Discover Hully Pods

A fantastic garden retreat

A wooden platform on a green lawn. It holds a wooden platform and a curved garden building called a pod. There is a rattan garden chair in front of the pod, and a rattan coffee table. We’re excited to introduce to you the fantastic Hully Pods, innovative garden pods perfect for work, play, and relaxing – you decide.

We love them so much we wanted to tell you a bit more about them. Hully was founded by Aidan Pragnell, a seasoned houseboat builder based in Southampton. Designing his own ‘glamping’ room, Aidan produced an insulated structure inspired by traditional boat-building techniques and marine materials. The result was a garden structure not predictably square plan, roofed design, but one influenced by the beautiful arch of an up-turned boat hull. It sparked the launch of a new business venture named after its nautical design – Hully.

Hully employs skilled craftspeople to handmake each pod. These fabulous outdoor garden structures are made to order with a focus on using recycled materials as much as possible. A weather-resistant colourful multi-layer fibreglass shell adds a fun, contemporary twist, encasing a PEFC certified softwood-lined interior. The shell uses end of line resin as part of the fibre glass production. And the flooring consists of Armacell PET foam, which is made from recycled plastic bottles. In fact, over one thousand recycled 500ml plastic bottles help produce the medium-sized Hully’s Skip Jack Pod.

Hully Pods come in a range of colours and in a choice of three sizes. Five different customisation options are offered to fully personalise your Pod, from a glass-fronted design (fancy a panoramic view of the garden?), to flooring and electrics. Durable, versatile, and affordable, if you’re looking for a garden hideaway, home office, home gym, beauty studio or garden den for the children, then a Hully Pod could be the ideal solution for your needs.

Come in store to see Hully for yourself. Our Hully Pods are located at the main entrance of the store and in our Plants area. We have partnered with Hully so we can help you in person and talk you through the Hully options. Just ask a member of our team for more information and your own Hully journey can begin!
