Glen Sheldrake joins Yarnton Home & Garden as Managing Director
We are delighted to welcome Glen to Yarnton Home & Garden.
Glen cut his teeth in several large multi-site garden centre businesses and prior to joining us, he was Operations Director at Burford Garden Company, playing a pivotal role in making the independent garden centre the huge success it is today. He brings to Yarnton a wealth of knowledge and experience from across the gardening industry.
So, what attracted Glen to the role of MD?
‘The potential of the business. Yarnton Home & Garden has been undergoing a huge transition over the last four years and it has come a long way. I am delighted to work with the team to help it reach its full potential. I believe independent garden centres have an opportunity to retail in a unique and exciting way.
‘Yarnton Home & Garden is exciting because it has set its stall as the garden centre doing things differently, and I am looking forward to delivering a retail space that has sustainability, creativity and a desire to create the best possible retail space for customers at its core.’

July 2022 Celebrating at the RETAs!
Hoorah! It was another very well-deserved accolade for Yarnton Home & Garden at the award’s ceremony of this year’s Best Greeting Card Retailers In The UK (affectionately known as The RETAs). Held at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane, we picked up the gong for best Independent Garden Centre Retailer (if you’ve not visited Yarnton and seen our offer of Greetings Cards, then do!). Pictured are two members of our chuffed team, Celia Leeson-Cox (Head of Retail Creative) and Emma Baimbridge (Supplier Relations Manager). Well done one and all.
