Nurture nature with little green fingers

Seeds For Schools 2022

It’s that time of year again… Spring is on its way! And it gives us great pleasure to open our Oxfordshire Seeds for Schools campaign for 2022!

This a fantastic opportunity to engage your children with nature and develop their green fingers, nurturing them into little gardeners. Nurseries, pre-schools, primary schools and childminders are all welcome to participate. We understand that school life is a little different at the moment, but we are always keen to encourage little ones to get outside and get growing. So, no matter how you would like to use this opportunity, we will still be running our brilliant competition.

“We are really grateful to Yarnton Garden Centre for our free growing kit! Looking at plant life cycles and observing changes in nature are important in our understanding the world part of early years teaching. The children have enjoyed planting their seeds, looking after the emerging plants and observing what happens, both the successes and unexpected problems! We are looking forward to flowers and (hopefully) harvests a bit later in the year.”
