It was a real honour to be a finalist of The Greats Gift Retailer Awards 2021, let alone winners in the Garden Centre Category.

For those of you who have been following our journey, you will know we have faced many challenges over the last two years. The transformation of the Garden Centre alongside a global pandemic has certainly provided the opportunity to remain agile and fast thinking! Despite all these challenges the team has worked their socks off, so it was brilliant to be able to take this award home to them.

The Greats Awards’ ceremony was hosted in the impressive settings of the Honourable Artillery Company and they did not disappoint. A champagne reception, followed by a delicious lunch, some comedy and of course the Awards themselves. There was such a positive and collaborative atmosphere between the retailers and many of us shared tales of Covid hardships. However, it was lovely to be able to join together as a sector and celebrate our achievements over the hardest of times.

We wish to say a huge thank you from us to those secret squirrels that nominated us and, of course, to Sue Marks who gave us the brilliant news and guided us through the awards process. And then of course a big thank you goes to you, our customers, without whom we could not have done it!
