Following the announcement of our grotto opening in November 2020, we have endeavoured to answer your questions before booking.
Please read the questions below and don’t hesitate to get in contact if you have any further questions. We aim to update this list as we go. We do politely ask for your patience as we operate through these new procedures.
Q: What procedures are you following due to Covid-19??
A: All guests will be temperature checked at the entrance of the Magic Garden. If a member of the group reads higher than the recommended guide they will be asked to seek advice from Public Health England. Each session time have been reduced to allow our staff to do a full deep clean of the area before next guests arrive.
Q: Will Santa be behind a screen?
A: No. We have designed the Grotto to ensure groups are socially distanced from Santa. We ask that children are not encourage to closely approach and all photos are done at a minimum of 2m distance.
Q: Is the train back again for 2020?
A: The Yarnton Express will be on display again this year in another area of the Garden Centre. However due to the current situation, guests cannot play on it this year.
Q: Are you offering refunds if you have to close due to Covid-19?
A: Yes. We are only offering refunds if we have to close under government guidelines.
Q: I cannot make my time slot, can I change the time and date?
A: Yes you can. Please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to swap your space for an appropriate time (subject to availability). Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds for missed or mis-booked time slots.
Q: Can we take photos in the Grotto?
A: Absolutely, and please feel free to share them with us on socials. We do ask for you to respect social distancing from other guests and to leave a minimum of 2m from yourself and Santa and elves.
Q: I would only like to visit the Magic Garden and not visit the grotto.
A: All grotto tickets come with complimentary access to the Magic Garden during the Christmas season. Sadly we cannot reduce ticket prices for access to only one activity. You can book to visit the Magic Garden during the week or between Christmas and New Year.
Q: Why are you only allowing 5 in per group, and not 6?
A: To allow all guests to safely distance from one another, we have kept group sizes down. By allowing another person per group, we could risk having too many people per session.
Q: How are you cleaning the soft play equipment?
A: The equipment is thoroughly deep cleaned every day with industry liquids suitable for children’s play areas.
