Mashquins

Does your child dream of becoming a fashion designer or love crafting and creating?

Unleash their creativity and cultivate a healthy practical interest in textile, design, and style with our ground-breaking Mashquin workshop.  It gives your child the freedom to explore fashion, design, and culture in an environmentally friendly way.

Using a mini desktop mannequin, a supply of captivating and colourful fabrics, textiles and accessories. No glueing, cutting or sewing is required just a stash of dressmaking pins. Using folding, twisting, and layering fabrics stimulates imaginative play and can also help develop dexterity and concentration.

About the host:
Marisha is the founder of Marisha Mistry and the creative mind behind the Mashquin.

"I've always been fascinated by the colours and embellishments of traditional Sarees. So after thriving in my Fashion Design degree at De Montfort University I decided to create a vibrant kid's collection, full of tradition, that concentrates on a fit more suitable to children who burst with energy and love to run and play.

I'm on a mission to reduce fabric waste, so I created the Mashquin to repurpose offcuts while inspiring the next generation of creative minds."
